We founded Tesana to offer plant-based products of exquisite quality. Our goal is to provide products that are alternative in the best sense: away from mass production, towards a sustainable, ecological, and responsible way of doing business.
What does "Tesana-Quality" stand for?

It is important to us that our customers trust our products – especially because we see you as partners in our work! To this end, we would like to present some key aspects of our work:
Development Partnership: If Africa sells goods to Europe today, prices are rock bottom – worse even than during some periods of slavery. That's why, for example, we don't buy Moringa in Tanzania by paying 10 or 20% more than the local market value, but 3000 percent (i.e., thirty times as much). Only in this way can our growers and harvest helpers there send their children to schools that deserve the name.
Alternative: Tesana is also a philosophy: to produce goods in such a way that our world can continue to exist for millions of years.
Sustainable: We want to support small businesses in Germany and encourage sustainable agriculture.
Responsible: Tesana-Quality means that the producers we know personally only produce goods that
- are not exposed to ionizing radiation for preservation
- are not produced by and with genetically modified organisms
- are not produced with the use of synthetic pesticides
- are not produced with the help of readily soluble mineral fertilizers
Global/Controlled: The import of raw materials and products from third countries is strictly regulated in Europe. For plant products, the crop rotation (two-, three- and four-field system) should also be varied.
However, Tesana has higher standards. We want to practice a gentle agriculture that respectfully includes people, animals, and plants. In this way, we contribute a little to the healing of our earth.
Creation-Conscious: God's Word says in the Bible, Hosea 4:6: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." So can there be a solution? We want our work to be a building block of God's solution for Africa, so that the "begging bowl of the world" can be transformed into the "breadbasket of the world." Help us, no matter which continent you live on, to preserve creation through the cultivation and utilization of truly sustainable and ethical products.
